Daesco

Happy to hear that there are several new malls opening in Sibu -Daesco and Giant Hypermall. Hmmm, the other two malls; Delta Mall and Medan Mall are barely surviving. Luckily Delta Mall can sustained on its computer sales and services whereas Medan Mall focused on the hairdressing business.

Daesco consists of 'Daesim' supermarket obviously, Vincci (the 1st in Sibu, wow wow), Watsons, Chung's bakery, Popular food court, many DVD and hp sellers.

 The main entrance

A stage set up for CNY performance

Popular food court

 Chung's bakery

Indoor playground for kids by Daesco

Coming soon: Kenny Rogers (wah, I wonder if it's still there when I'm back this year end they took down the 'opening soon' banner when I last went there), Marrybrown (I still remember the first one closed after a few months opening in front of Wisma Sanyan years ago), Big Apple donuts (seriously?!)

I like to 'lepak' there as it is fully air-conditioned - reminds me of the 'old' younger days when I used to spend time in Wisma Sanyan too.

Hopefully these malls would prosper in Sibu ^^

Ipoh Town Kopitiam

Went twice after its first opening on the 31st January 2012. Hmm, I can foresee its closure by the end of this year - not trying to say that its drink and food suck but if you are Sibu-an folks, you will know why. Sibu ppl don't really indulge themselves in luxury food, they rather put away the money for their children's education.

 Its infamous Ipoh Town coffee
