HK Drama craze

Thanks to the fast internet speed in Glasgow, I have been watching online movies to keep myself occupied. Now I can even watch HK drama smoothly online!

I have finished watching this HK drama "The Mysteries of Love".
Smart Professor King and Handsome Police Gordon! I love them.

I like this HK drama "Last One Standing"...full of suspense...even my hubby 'curi-curi tengok' when I'm watching it.

I love that 'ah bui' in this movie "When Lanes Merge". Still waiting for ppl to continue uploading the series...waiting for episode 9 and the full episodes ^v^
*anticipating mode*

Currently watching this drama "A Journey Called Life". I think I have watched some of the episodes before but I forgot already. Haha. A good movie though.

Share with you all my favourite website  http://www.mysoju.com/browse/

1st thing

Tell me,

What's the first thing that you normally do when you wake up?

Take shower?

Brush teeth?

Kiss your spouse?

Prepare breakfast?

Zoom off to play computer?

Pray and thank God for another day?

*Take time to reflect on ourselves*

Toy Story 3 in 3D

It's my 1st time watching a 3D movie. Hehe. I'm so excited cos can watch it in Glasgow with hubby. Last night, we went to watch Toy Story 3 in 3D. It's a excellent movie. *everyone in the cinema clapped hands after the movie ended*

The 3D glasses is mine after the movie. We can reuse it for other 3D movies next time. It's very cheap here. Only costs us 80 pence (imagine paying only RM4 and you can bring back a good quality 3D glasses). I'm so loving it!

Emotion

Do you cry or stay cool when you are watching a sad and touching movie? Is it normal to cry? Or it is better to stay cool all the time?

We, women are generally prone to cry whenever we are sad or in pain. We will talk to our friends and seek for their advices...or seek therapy if we think it's too serious. In short, we show our emotions when we are happy or sad. *get a mirror and look at yourself* It portrays on your face and your mood is affected too.

On the other hand, men hide their emotion all the times (that's what we see and perceive). Men are actually more sensitive to emotion and so more likely to avoid it. They have to appear to be the stronger gender. It's in their genes. A man won't simply cry in front of women especially to the ones that he loves and cares cos it shows the weaker part of him. He wants to maintain his strong image. If my man cries, I would be very scared and cry along with him *the emotional me*

*my point of view*
Being able to cry is better in term of our health. It lets the body to flush out the toxins. Somemore, tear ducts are good to clean the eyes and provide a better vision. The most important thing is we are able to express ourselves naturally. We don't keep everything to ourselves. We share no matter it's good news or bad news.

Emotionless people are terrible. They always keep all the sadness and everything to themselves. One day, they will burst and the GODZILLA in them will be revealed. *scary*

P/S: If you have fast internet speed, go and download the movie '3 idiots'. It's a Hindi movie. Very funny and touching at the same time.

East vs West cultures

Something amusing to share with you all...

These illustration was made by Liu Young who was born in China and educated in Germany. *With added comments*

Blue -> Westerner
Red  -> Asian
* * Comment -> Me

OPINION

W: Talk to the point
A:  Talk around the circle, especially if different opinions

*We like to bluff a lot. If can go outside to drink and eat first, it's even better for us (Malaysian culture)*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

WAY OF LIFE

W: Individualism, think of himself or herself.
A: Enjoy gathering with family and friends, solving their problems, and know each other's business ('keh poh')

*So true, the busybody us*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

PUNCTUALITY

W: On time.
A: In time.

*If the dinner is at 7pm, we will reach there by 7.30pm. If 'angpows' are given to the attendees, we will be there by 6.30pm*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

 CONTACTS

W: Contact to related person only.
A: Contact everyone everywhere, business very successful.

*Good and successful networking cos we can talk craps a lot. Hehe*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

 ANGER

W: Show that I am angry.
A: I am angry, but still smiling (beware)

*Beware, that's me too*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUEUE WHEN WAITING

W: Queuing in an orderly manner.
A: Queuing?! What's that?

*The typical behavior even though we get the number already*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUNDAYS ON THE ROAD

W: Enjoy weekend relaxing peacefully.
A: Enjoy weekend in crowded places, like going to the mall.

*The more, the merrier. Whenever there is a crowd, we are always in the midst esp during sales*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

PARTY

W: Only gather with their own group.
A: All focus on the one activity that is hosted by the CEO.

*We also gather with our own groups. Just that, we are more likely to go to CEO's event cos we want to be in his good books and to eat free good food*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

IN THE RESTAURANT

W: Talk softly and gently in the restaurant.
A: Talk and laugh loudly like they own the restaurant.

*Haha. When everyone is staring at us, we'll lower down our volume for a while and then continue talking in our usual way*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

TRAVELLING

W: Love sightseeing and enjoy the scenery.
A: Taking pictures is the most important, scenery is just for background.

*We did the right thing! We already spent so much money and time so should capture the moment for memories and enjoy at the same time*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

HANDLING OF PROBLEMS

W: Take any steps to solve the problems.
A: Try to avoid conflicts, and if can, don't leave any trail.

*We tend to run away from our problems rather than facing it or solving it. Scared to get into trouble also.*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 MEALS A DAY

W: Good meal for once a day is sufficient.
A: At least 3 good meals a day.

*But our 3 good meals are too nourishing until the obesity rate starts to skyrocket in Malaysia. Can't blame the people cos the food in Msia is tasty and cheap. Just that too oily plus we like to have supper which is not good for digestion.*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

TRANSPORTATION

W: Before drove cars, now cycling for environmental protection.
A: Before no money and rode a bike, now got money and drive a car.

*The bigger, the better. At least this applies to Sibu people cos we prefer Toyota Hilux (can carry a lot of things, just dump it at the back) than other cars. As for the rest, they will get a car no matter what; to show face (bank loan, gov loan, 'along')*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

ELDERLY IN DAY TO DAY LIFE

W: When old, there is dog for companionship.
A: When old, guarantee will not be lonely, as long as willing to babysit the grandkids.

*Good...to strengthen the bonds between grandparents and grandchildren. Somemore, our parents know the best for them based on what we are today*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

MOODS AND WEATHER

W: The logic is rain is pain.
A: More rain, more prosperity.

*My mood is not easily affected by weather only by people*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE BOSS

W: The boss is part of the team.
A: The boss is a fierce god.

*Scared to approach superior ones cos if accidentally hurt his feelings then the promotion is gone or worse still, say bye bye to your job*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT'S TRENDY

W: Healthy Asian cuisine.
A: Expensive Western cuisine.

*Expensive things are always better. Haiz, as long as the food is good, eat at anywhere also can*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE CHILD

W: The kid is going to be independent and make his/ her own living.
A: Work, live and all for the kids, the centre of life.

*Cos we want the BEST for our children (I want the BEST for my parents too)*

LET'S LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST. REMEMBER TO THANK GOD  *v*

Loch Lomond, Balloch

Last Sunday, we went to Balloch (a residential village located 4 miles from Scotland) by train. As usual, I will prepare 2 beef burgers and 2 boiled eggs for our adventure. We walked very fast to the train station cos we were looking forward to go to Loch Lomond. It is Britain's largest lake and also known as "The Queen of Scottish Lakes" and "Gateway to the Highlands".

 The train station

Waiting area

Their 'LRT' is called SPT (Strathclyde Partnership for Transport)

My train ticket to Balloch

Our train to Balloch

Inside the train

Asked to pose with this "o"

The Pretty Tullie Inn

We got this Balloch map and started our walking adventure

Our 1st stop was The Loch Lomond Sea Life Acquarium. It looks and sounds interesting from its website. We checked out this place on our own risk (didn't ask who went there before and didn't check its review online...forgot to check).

Actually it costs us £12 each but I printed out the vouchers that entitled us 2 for 1 on all adult tickets
*save half of the money*

Our right hand is stamped on entry

The decor along the pathway

The highlight of this aquarium that attracted me

One of otters spotted us

See, it stood up to greet us

Cute stingrays

Pregnant male seahorse (but only pregnant for 3 weeks)
*Good cos male can experience the pregnancy labour for female*

Heavy pregnancy till tilted. Haha

The breathtaking view

Focus on those 3 transparent balls. There was a kid inside each individual ball and they kept rolling in the water without getting wet. They must be having a lot of fun playing that. They reminded me of the movie "Bubble Boy".

Haiya, octo again

After the aquarium, we went for a walk outside its compound.

Playing guitar for charity

Sidewalk view

While posing for this pic, I saw a cruise was coming our way

Hubby waved to them and said to me, "Let's board this cruise later".

Went there to purchase the tickets

Cost us £21 for 2 adults

Our cruise to Loch Lomond!

Excited 'ngiao ji' face

Those with us on the cruise

Captured the following pics and scenery while cruising along the Loch Lomond:

Whatever palace or residence *forgot*

Duck Bay Marina
Hubby said we should stop there and buy ducks later (*o*)" since Glasgow doesn't have any duck supply.
*only talked but didn't buy*

The highland view

Another castle

Strong wind gave me this hairstyle

Another cool hairstyle
(Actually wanted to tidy up my hair 1st for the pic but hubby said don't cos natural look is beauty.
Oh, yakah?)

Strong current

The yacht we met
The bar inside the cruise
Camera-shy and camera-love

On the way back to Balloch
Ok, faster took pic with this and that for momento *v*

That was our Sunday trip. So tiring but we enjoyed the whole trip! Happy!
