Sweet and crispy chicken (dakkanjung)

Got this recipe from Korean food blog (Thanks to Angel). Actually I have been cooking it many times already and my hubby loves this dish the most. Finally I decided to blog it here (easy for me to recall the yummy recipes next time).

Absolutely delicious

Ingredients:

=Coating powder=

1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup potato starch

=Coating liquid=

1 cup of boiled water
1 cup of ginger (I use one new ginger)
3 tbs light soya sauce
3 tbs honey
1 tsp sugar

(adjust the coating liquid consistency according to your taste)

=For extra crunch effect=

2 tbs corn starch (stir it with a bit of water)
Peanuts (I use walnuts)
Sesame seeds (as much as you like)

Method
  1. Coat the chicken with the coating powder.
  2. Heat the pan with cooking oil. Wait until the oil is hot and deep fry the chicken. Set it aside.
  3. Using a new pan, pour 1 cup of boiled water and ginger into it. Let it boils for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the rest of the 'coating liquid' ingredients into it.
  5. After 5 minutes, add in the corn starch mixture and stir until it boils (taste it whether you need to add extra honey or sugar).
  6. Add in the chicken, peanuts, and the sesame seeds together. Stir it and it is ready to be served.
